The Bestiary is, obviously, a list of the various creatures one might find on Tekumel. Organized by environment (forest, swamp, mountain, underworld, etc.), the bestiary contained insects, domesticated animals, predatory plants, monsters, and intelligent nonhuman races. Many of the entries were illustrated, most simple line drawings, others beautiful renditions. While game statistics were included, these were all found in a special four page section in the middle of the book, on parchment-like paper stock. Statistics included the environments where the creatures were commonly found, the number appearing, the creature's intelligence, roughly (animal, semi-intelligent, intelligent), speed (slow, average, fast), size (small, medium, large), and some special notes (such as poisonous, undead, capable of disguising itself, and so on). Creatures also had combat statistics: armor, hit points, damage per attack, and HBS. The presence of the HBS statistic implies the creatures were statted out for Swords & Glory or Gardasiyal.

While originally published for Gardasiyal, the Bestiary is a valuable resource for any Tekumel game, as it remains the best source of information on Tekumel's wildlife. Only the original Empire of the Petal Throne game had information on more than a handful of creatures, and Swords & Glory's sourcebook says little about wildlife.
